I'm running DOCUMENT V1.2B, ONLINE.HANDBOOK doctype, going
to the bookreader destination.
I have tables embedded in tables. The embedded table cannot
have a symbolic name.
The resulting error messages when the embedded table had
a symbolic name were next to useless (so what else is
new, right?).

See the replies to note 3351 in CLOSET::DOCUMENT.
DOCUMENT has never allowed nesting of formal tables, for any output
device (this is not specific to the online doctypes). I do agree,
however, that the documentation on the subject is less than clear
(in the user's guide and in the error message).
