I'd like to use Bookreader to develop some online training. Some questions: 1. Are there any potential problems if I start to develop the book using VAX DOCUMENT V1.1 and switch part way through to V1.2B? We already have UTOX V3.0-1 and RAGS T3.0 on our system. What other Bookbuilding tools am I missing if we don't have V1.2B? 2. Are there any ways to control: a. the width of the Bookreader window? b. where pop-up windows appear on the display? c. where the Bookreader window appears on the display? 3. What are the differences in output between ONLINE.REFERENCE and ONLINE.HANDBOOK? 4. Are there any ways to hide the level of detail in the table of contents (e.g., only have head 1 and 2 levels appear)? Any help in answering these questions will be appreciated.

1. I don't think there should be any problems but advise upgrading
as soon as possible. The V1.1 online tools were released a year
ago and are no longer supported (so if you *do* have problems,
the recommended solution will be "upgrade").
You should have everything you need. Check note 64.whatever that
announces that release of the online tools. It lists the software
you need.
2. No, to a., b., and c. Can't control the width or placement of
the Bookreader's windows. There is some discussion about these
questions and wishlist items in the BOOKREADER notes conference
on BULOVA.
3. The differences between online.reference and online.handbook are
pretty slight. Mainly, online.handbook provides support for some
special syntax formats that layered products require. There are
also some differences in some of the fonts specs.
4. No, can't hide the level of detail in the TOC, without modifying
the doctype.
