| 228.1 | Missing <REFERENCE>? | VAXUUM::GRANT | I've saved $2215.00 since I quit smoking. | Tue Nov 21 1989 14:57 | 11 |
|  |     Hi Tara,

    	Not having the .SDML file that causes the problem, my first guess
    would be that there's no <REFERENCE> tag for the figure. Other than
    that, I'm not sure.

    	Could you either send me a short example of the failing .SDML files
    or a pointer to a directory from which I could copy them?

    Thanks,
    	Wayne

| 228.2 | Edit the .TEX file is the fix | DEMON::PANGAKIS |  | Tue Nov 28 1989 16:26 | 3 |
| | Well, I didn't have time to research this further, so I just
    editted the .TEX file and processed for device conversion
    and all is well.

| | Given that you may have found a bug, I'd appreciate it if you could
    take the time to send the portion of the SDML file and the TEX file
    that had the no-show hotspot in it. Also, out of curiousity, how did
    you edit the TEX file?

    Thanks,

| 228.4 | .SDML in .0, .TEX here | DEMON::PANGAKIS |  | Fri Dec 01 1989 13:09 | 14 |
| | Hi, the portion of the .SDML file is in .0.

    It's pretty weird because processed alone, it doesn't
    cause a problem (online when referenced as an element of a profile.)
    Noone else seems to be bothered by this, so perhaps I have an
    old version of the DOCUMENT style (20-Mar-1989)?

    And, I added the following to the .TEX file to "enable" the hotspot.

\paragraph{1}%
\hotspot{%
map%
}{\Figurename~}{1{\capiddelim}}{1} displays the course sections.

| | You are using a very old version of the online tools. There was a
    problem quite a while back in which the first occurrence of a hotspot
    after a <title>(<reference>(...)) was trashed. I suggest you upgrade
    to the current version of the tools and see if the problem still
    occurs.

    Thanks,

    Mary
