I have a similar problem like one metioned before, but with a different cause.

I cannot put footnotes into <CODE_EXAMPLES>. I always get a 'possible problem
with footnotes' and I'm not using <KEEP> anywhere ( or <CODE_EXAPLE>(KEEP) if
that matters.

I've played around with footrefs or with different placement of the footnote
text to no avail.

Any help ?

    How are you coding the footnotes and what baselevel of the online tools
    are you using? <footref>/<footnote_text> will *not* work (that 
    combination works only in the context of titles and tables online).
    If you send me an example of how you're coding the footnotes in a
    code example (please send a short one!), I'll investigate.

I'm using the latest BL ( something like 2-AUG-1989 ) and an example is

<CODE_EXAMPLE>(KEEP)
   <BOX>(CTRL/Z)
   LSE>GOTO BUFFER/CREATE buffername <FOOTNOTE>(1\geben Sie nun irgendeinen Te
xt ein) )
   LSE>GOTO BUFFER filename
   LSE>GOTO FILE filename1 <FOOTNOTE>(2\dieser Buffer wird beim EXIT auch 
zur�ckgeschrieben )

    Sorry to take so long to get to this. It is indeed a bug in the online
    tools, which I'm happy to say I had already fixed for the next
    baselevel. This baselevel should be out around Oct 4.
