    I tried opening the BOOKREADER notes without success, so I'll ask
    my question here:  How do I add books to the BOOKREADER?  I know,
    it sounds like it should be simple, but I', not having any luck.
    
    I just installed DECwrite and I want to add that doc set to bookreader.
    
    Can someone point me in the right direction?  I've copied the
    DECW$BOOKS and DECW$BOOKSHELF files into the SYS$COMMON:[DECW$BOOK]
    directory, now what do I do??

    Append the  .decw$bookshelf to library.decw$bookshelf like this
    
    $append whatever.decw$bookshelf library.decw$bookshelf

    Also, try getting into the BOOKREADER notes conference again. (It's
    on BULOVA.) There are a great many notes on this subject in there.

    I should also mention that there is some information about bookshelves
    in 'Coding Documentation Source Files for the DECwindows Bookreader':
    
    closet::kits_:[document.v12.books]writer_guidelines.ps, .ln03, and
                                      .decw$book/.decw$bookshelf

We lost the Bookreader conference due to a disk problem.  It will be restored
from backups sometime soon.
