I have found a problem when trying to use the <revision_info> tag
when trying to set foreign language text via the <language> tag.
The online bookreader has a fixed width for the "bold" text that
is used and when I try to modify the \TEXlongestsysteminfo{...}
control sequence, the whole thing blows-up on me during device
conversion.
Has anybody got any ideas.

What exactly are yoy trying to modify? What error messages do you get
when the dvc "blows-up". The bookreader destination is a little more
restrictive than others and has less tolerance to tex-hackier.
You can send me the title page and we'll find out why it went
out to lunch. (sdml and the modifications you made)

Thanks for the offer Mike. The first time that I actually enter a note in the conference and I realise that I had made a spelling mistake in the control-sequence. All is now working in Europe. Brian PS: I am not a hacker it's my JOB.

If the dvc ACCVIO'd I'd still like the dvi files so at least in the
future the dvc would exit gracefully with some meaningful error
message.
Thanks

| 150.4 | Error - file location | GERTY::DOCTOR | Mon Jun 12 1989 09:44 | 20 | |
The error message from this was: [ D e v i c e C o n v e r s i o n ]. . . PAGE COORDINATION LOST:TeXpage = 1, ChunkID = 2;ABORT! %DVC-E-BOOKABORT, aborting run -- book not created -DVC-I-INPUTFILE, input file is: DISK$PUBS03:[DOCTOR.BOOKREADER]TESTFILE.DVI_BOOKREADER; -DVC-I-ONPAGE, onpage [1] %DVC-I-BOOKABORT, aborting run -- book not created If you wish to copy the "dvi" file, I have renamed it to error.dvi_bookreader as I am constantly using the "testfile" sdml file for other languages. You can copy this from: pages::disk$pubs03:[doctor.bookreader] Brian
