I would like to know what means the FSE Binary format?
Is it specific to RAGS application, is it different from the XBitmap
format?
Thanks for your help

I'll leave it to someone else to give the details about FSE format,
but to answer your last two questions: FSE is a binary format that
is used primarily by UTOX and RAGS and that is acceptable to
the bookreader as input to the <FIGURE_FILE> tag. Yes, it is
different than the Xbitmap format. (Although they are both
monochrome bitmaps and you can use UTOX to convert from one
to the other.)
