When I placed the <online_popup> and <endonline_popup> around
an <icon_figure> tag, the icon figure AND the icon text were in the popup.
Is there any chance of changing the behavior to getting only the
icon figure in the popup and letting the icon text fill the full width
    of the display area?

| No, the way the <icon> set of tags are coded there is no way to
do that; the icon text is formatted based on the dimensions
of the dimensions of the icon figure.

You might try coding the figure as either a <margin_icon> or
    informal figure within <online_popup>/<endonline_popup> tags,
with the accompanying icon text as a paragraph following it
and see if that gives you the effect that you want. (I realize
that you then won't get the hardcopy effect that you want if
you are also producing a hardcopy book.)

This is not to say that what you are asking for is impossible.
If enough writers need this kind of thing, it would be possible
to either define a new set of tags or modify the existing tags
    to do it.

    Thanks,

    Mary
