When I use the <PART_PAGE> tag, it does not force a topic break. It doesn't even force a line break, rather, it just runs in at the end of the last text of the previous topic. It *does*, however, affect the formatting of the entire topic. All in all, a rather strange set of interactions. -Al ps: You request problem reports here; do you want us to use a particular keyword to flag problem reports?

| My error. I was assuming the presence of a <part> tag and forcing
the topic break there. That is not always the case, so in the next
baselevel of the bookbuilding tools, the <part_page> tag will force
    the break.

    Thanks,

    Mary
