Subject: AI: Patch for COBOL on EASE V5.3-2.

In the last two days, we have had our first reports of problems on two sites
(one in Geneva, and one in the UK) with this problem.

(I don't know why we are only seeing this problem now, so late in the day,
but still....)

So; if you have a problem with  "Ident mis-match" when attempting to run
any COBOL programs on EASE V5.3-2, you must copy the following files, and
then execute the command file.

The command files extracts what it needs from the save set A of th COBOL
kit, and then updates the COBOL RTL and  STARLET.OLB.

We have been running this patch without any problems for two days now.

You may copy the patch from either SOOTY::COB*.* or
EASE::JAN1991:[KITS]COB*.*

You will get two files, as follows:

COBOL043.A  and COBTRTL_PATCH_FOR_EASE_V532.COM

Copy them to the your account, and execute the command file. It takes copies
of the COBRTL and STARLET, and then installs the new versions cluster-wide.
