Just in case you didn't know..... there is a service on the LAT called
REMOTE. If you enter the VAX Username "HOST" you are left in a captive
account which asks you for your name and the name of a node to set host
to.
Useful if you've got a visitor who wants to read mail on their normal
machine for instance.
