Now that we have local printers, is it possible to restrict
large jobs from being printed on them ? I thought that
they were supposed to be for small jobs & the LPS40 for the
	big ones ?

    Re 170.1

I agree, send large jobs to the LPS40(s).

But if you can set up printer queues yourself you could always make a
generic queue ,say sys$local , which is served by 2 or 3 physical
queues. That way your small job switches to a free printer when one of
    the others is busy.

/Notify should tell you which device is really printing it.

    Sounds good, Jerry.

But now take pity on a poor ol' PDP man, and tell me how to do it
    (on ALL-IN-1 as well,if poss..)

Currently, the LN03 queues are spread across the nodes in a
cluster in groups. The way it is currently done, means that if 1 node
goes down, all LN03's in one area become unavailable.
Would it be possible to set adjacent printers on different nodes
to save shoe leather, ie A2A$LN03 on CHEST, A2B$LN03 on CRATE, A2C$LN03
on CHEST etc.
