And Y not, it is quicker from Ferney.... :-)
And on a more serious note... we were promised as good or better
services when the great Blasingsmoke move took place. we probably
need the old wetnerk 'tuning' up to twin-carb/diesel turbo...:-)

    How's that Bas?

I thought that the network connectivity services down here in
Sunny Blasingsmoke would equal the service we had in Acrid Rd, though from
Caroline's experience it appears that we don't have things like micro-wave
or fibre-optic links. Maybe I am wrong.... but the transfers do take a long
time. I wasn't joking about the Ferney transfer....

| | Speaking of which, has anyone tried running DATATRIEVE on YMER ??
    (Thats Stockholm, to the uninitiated)

It's not the Baud rate that's the problem, it the BORED rate -

Talk about -3 characters per second - that part of the network seems
to be run by British Rail!!!

Seriously, though, how are we expected to run an efficient support
service when logging in to the machine takes two cups of coffee
    and a cigarette to complete?

    Yours Angrily,

    Concerned of Blazingsmoke.

Believe me - it'll get worse before it gets better.

Just persevere David, it does get VERY VERY slow sometimes but normally
    it isn't too bad.
