I am a fairly new Focus user, but I have a question that does not
seem to have been addressed in this conference yet.
I am working on an application that requires conversion of numerics
to alpha format, which is easily accomplished by the EDIT function.
The problem is that EDIT packs the string with leading zeros, which
I absolutely do not want. I have looked through the manuals, but have
not found a way to accomplish remove the leading zeros. Does anyone
know if there's a way to do this?
Thanks,
Ed

Ed,
Check out the FTOA subroutine located in the Subroutine Library
Users Manual on page 3-6. It gives an example of converting numbers from
numeric to alphanumeric format, with the added ability of leading blanks
instead of zeros.
