This note is being set up to communicate the effectiveness of DECWORLD.
Was it successful from your customer's point of view? Was it
successful from your point of view?
Did we win business that we might have lost? Did it shorten the
selling cycle?
Was the selling for 'today', 'tomorrow' or both?
Thanks to note .1 for placing the ideas into this conference. I have
created a separate note since note 70 is focused towards DECWORLD
announcements.

| 113.2 | WIN SOME LOSE SOME! | DPDMAI::AUTRY | Wed May 13 1992 10:34 | 11 | |
I have just been informed that my customer was very dissapointed in the
Business Protection setup at DECworld. My customer has a budget to
spend on Disaster planning of 65K. After going to DECworld it appears
that they are looking for another company to use for this service.
On the positive side, we will win a 1.2M deal involving DESKtop
services selling NEC PC's. I would rather have the DESKtop services
but I am dissapointed in not having a stelar display of our Business
Protection services.
