I don't know about the "135U & Sinec", but Vax Simatic 3964 does talk
to Siemens S5 machines (I support it).

SINEC L2 is the Siemens trade name for Profibus, a German field bus
standard.
As far as I know we do not support Profibus directly. Typically
a SIMATIC S5 serves as a master PLC on the Profibus and connects to
the host through either 3964R or SINEC-H1 / SINEC-AP.

There is a Third Party vendor for a Profibus board on Turbochannel. MIO-BOARD (Multi I/O Board, RS-232, RS-485, Arcnet) Provides links to Profibus (Feldbus), 3964R, Modbus, and Arcnet.
