Does anybody has any experience in the actual throuhgput of data
    between a VAX and a BS2000 ?
My prospect asks for a minimal throughput of 60Kbit/s. Are we able to
transfer such a huge amount of data ?
Any idea on the % of VAX utilisation (independent of the size of the
    VAX) ?

Any input is more than welcome.

    Pierre.

| See note 55.2 for line speed of various connections. In an ethernet connection, it takes about half a minute to transfer a file with a size of 1 MB. Using PSDN connection, the dimension to transfer 1 MB is 20 minutes. But the transfer time is largely determined by the general load on the wire! The CPU load of a FTSIE server process is comparable to the load caused by by a DECnet COPY (FAL process). Regards Helmut | |||||
