| 50.1 | MSV II or DSV11? | GYPSC::KRIEGL | Georg Kriegl | Wed Feb 07 1990 10:08 | 8 |

    Is this MSV II perhaps a DSV11?
    MSV modules are memory boards for Q-bus.
    DSV11 is a Q-bus 2-line synchronous communication device, and as such
    it should be able to make the connection. If any software support is
    available for it, sorry I do not know. If you find something, I am
    also interested in all Siemens connections.
    Georg.

    MSV II = medium speed variant 2 !!

    Is as .0 said a protocol definition and not as .1 asummed a piece
    of Hardware.

    Now - back to the original question - I did'nt know anything about
    a MSV-emulator for VAX 3400 - please ask the software houses
    INTEGRATA or KONVER (you will find the address somewhere here in the
    conference.

    They both have MSV emulators for VAX/VMS (for different sync. devices).

    regards Vera

| | Conware has now a new address and phone number:
    	Conware Computer Consulting GmbH
    	Kiliszeltstrasse 64

    They do *not* have any communication software for the famous
    SIEMENS R30 machine (they call it obsolete).

    Now I'm trying to talk to INTEGRATA.

    Thanks for Your quick replies.

    Regards from Hamburg.

| 50.5 | DUST 3965R supports BSC e.a. | HAM::KEMMANN |  | Fri Feb 16 1990 15:30 | 10 |
| | SIEMENS has a communication device called
    'Datenbertragungssteuerung DUST 3965R' which supports
    several international standards as MSV 1, MSV 2-KOS, MSV 2 and BSC.
    The firmware can be configured by parameters.
    The description is contained in SIEMENS document C71000-T8700-C16-1.

    My problem will be solved by BSC.

    Thanks for Your replies.
    Thomas.
