We have a prospect who will need to make queries on his
BS2000 Siemens and transfer data to a MicroVAX.
The customer wants to enter the name of a person and retrieve
one or many address (if many persons have the same name) to be
used on the MicroVAX.
I've heard of Integrata 9750 Terminal Emulation/File Transfer
and FTSIE but they are German products (support will be poor in
Belgium).

Could TCP/IP or our OSI software (FTAM, VOTS/OSAK) be used ? Are those
communication software available on BS2000 systems ?

    VAX FTSIE is OSI - based on VOTS
    
    MEPSIE (Integrata) is MSV1
    
    There are no plans from DEC Germany for TCP/IP 
    
    Yes, support for VAX FTSIE in Belgium will be poor at the beginning
    - it will be up to you to change it. If the project is interesting
    enough for you I am sure we can find a way. FTSIE has been sold
    outside Germany before.

    FTAM on BS2000 will take a while - I would not count on it within
    the next 18 months.
