VAX - Siemens Communication
Notes Conference
Diese Notes-Konferenz ist eine Fortsetzung der VAX FTSIE
Konferenz und hat wie diese den Zweck Informationen,
Anregungen und Fragen zum Produkt VAX FTSIE und der
zugeh�rigen Produktumgebung ausgetauscht werden. Aktuelle
Eintr�ge aus dem VAXFTSIE-Notesfile wurden �bernommen.
Daneben wird das Subject auf allgemeine Topics zur
Kommunikation mit Siemens-Systemen erweitert, um einen
zentralen Ort zur Informationssammlung bereitzustellen.
In dieser Konferenz soll die Siemens-Kommunikation im
Fertigungsbereich/Werkstattsteuerung nicht diskutiert werden.
Diese Topics werden in CESARE::VSH1 besprochen.

VAX - Siemens Communication
Notes Conference
This conference is a continuation of the VAX FTSIE conference
and should be used for information, inputs and questions
about the product VAX FTSIE and its software environment.
Entries from the VAXFTSIE-notesfile have been transferred.
Besides this, the subject has been expended to all
communication issues between VAX and Siemens-systems to have
a central point of information.
Since the notesfile is mainly used in Germany most of the
entries will be in German - but I'll be happy to translate
when necessary.
Explicit "Non-Goal" of this conference is the Siemens-
Communication in the manufacturing/job-floor area. This
matter is being discussed in CESARE::VSH1

| Since VSH1 is at the end of its life I recommend you take any questions
on Siemens PLC connection to the CESARE::DECOSAP VAXnotes conference
(hit Keypad 7 to add conference).
DECosap V2.0 is available on VMS and ULTRIX and covers both H1 and AP
protocols.

| Due to the fact that the ECCGY4:: is phased out until at least end of this month
it's necessary to move the notes conference to another system.
The new home of this conference will be
UFHIS0::Siemens_communication
The write access to the conference on the ECCGY4:: is stopped by now. End of
janauary the system will finally shutdown. Please modify the address of the
conference to the new system and go on there.
