515.0. "Annoying interference crackling" by PEKING::GERRYT () Mon Mar 20 1995 12:47
    When I switch on my SONY stack system I'm getting a sort of swishing
    sound out of the right hand channel.
    It happens on headphones as well as speakers, and I can't get to the
    bottom of it, as it doesn't matter what input is selected either.

    I believe it may be in component braking down in the pre-amp area, but
    has anyone else had this sort of problem and have any ideas where the
    trouble may be coming from?

    Thanks,

    Tim

| | Well, it was actually one of the power amp output transistors.
    I had to take it to an audio engineer to get it fixed.
    Working fine now.
