|  |     Both Tandberg decks I have do this. Regarding the really hefty
    flywheels they have (both are dual-capstan as well) it would take
    a couple of seconds to get them up to speed. A JVC deck I had
    previously had a switch that set the capstan motor running when a
    cassette was put in. All these decks have at least two motors, but I've
    also seen single-motor decks do this.
