I have.
It was with an Infinity pre amp and Audio innovations power amp
I think, with a Rega Rb 300 and a Krell Cartridge.
I was auditioning speakers at the time. I think it was played to
impress me. Not having listened to much High End kit before, I could
not make any comments, other than it sounded supurb. Sort of, all
the attack punch ect of a C.D player, with the sound quality of
a *really* good turntable.

| Sorry, I forgot to mention, I heard it at a s/hand Audio shop in
Eastbourne, "Eastbourne Audio" surprisingly enough. I think the
owner does it as a hobby, running the shop, and he seemed to be
a friend of Max Townsend too. It was a Reference, rather than just
the old model rock or avalon.

| Thanks for the reply. I finally found a dealer who came round and demonstrated
it a couple of weeks ago - not bad since he came from Brentwood and I live in
Sonning Common. I've just about recovered from hearing it in my system. I'll
put it this way: I don't think I'll be buying the Roksan, excellent though
that deck is... Next the Oxford Acoustics Crystal Reference, and then the
moment of truth!
