| 669.1 | Embassy involved in B/W film racket, perhaps | CHEFS::STAALH | To boldly go where I've been before | Mon Aug 09 1993 14:32 | 14 |
| | Ellen, be careful with photo booth pictures. The Dutch embassy can be
    very akward; not only do the photo's have to be B/W but your head needs
    to tilted at the right angle (looking slightly to the right and level).

    When I tried to submit some booth shots earlier this year they were
    rejected as unsuitable and I was referred to a photographer in South
    Kensington (does the embassy have an interest in this local enterprise
    - answers on the back of a postcard).

    I think your best bet is to contact the embassy and ask them the
    criteria and if they know of a place local to you that can do them.

|  | Hans,
heel bedankt...
I've actually reached the same conclusion myself, but only because
the closest B/W photo booth I could locate was at Heathrow Terminal
1!
I'll have to get the photos done at a photographer I found in the Yellow
Pages...20 worth!!
Cheers

| 669.3 | Have you tried the photographic shop? | CMOTEC::HARWOODJ | Judy Harwood - REO - 830 2879 | Tue Aug 10 1993 09:31 | 9 |
| | Have you tried the photographic shop up near the Banks ?
    they may be able to advise you as to where might be cheaper.

    Failing that given the details of what the 'pose' should look
    like could a keen photographer help you out for the cost of the film
    and a pint ?

    Judy

|  |     Graag gedaan, Ellen.

    If you're thinking of following up .3's advice or going to a local
    photographer I've still got a spare photo from when I had them done
    which I can let you have (so you can deduce the criteria required).

    Send me a mail if you want to follow this up. (Hans Staal @reo)

| | The not-fishers photo shop (opposite Iceland) has a sign up saying it
does passport photos, if they're any use they should do b/w too.

| | Thanks everyone for the help. I had the photos done at a photographer
in Basingstoke. They're probably much too good quality to be used for
passport photos, but there you go.
