I may be attending the IEEE Professional Communication Conference
in Guildford, Surrey, in September. I was planning on staying in
Weybridge and taking the train to Guildford each day. (I was in
Weybridge about 10 years ago and loved it). Would I be rational in
trying to commute from Weybridge to Guildford each morning to arrive at
the conference center (post house hotel) by 8:30 or so?

Would bus or train be better? any suggestions?

    	Thanks,
    Mary Beth

    Hi Mary Beth,

Commuting from Weybridge to the Post House at Guildford is most likely
the best alternative. Trains from Weybridge to Guildford are good but
you would need to catch a bus at Guildford, as the Post House is about
2 miles from the station. I have no idea about busses, but they tend
to be slow. Commuting should be relatively easy as the Post House is
just off and under the A3 (signposted Cathedral and Hospital) and the
access from Weybridge is reasonably (although I do not know what the
traffic will be like, early in the morning.

    Hope this helps,
    regards, Richard.

Thanks very much for the information. It makes the trip much
    easier to plan.
