I was out for an after-lunch stroll with some friends yesterday
and came across the ruins of a church. I believe it's called
Holy Ghost Chapel - it's somewhere up behind the station.

Can anyone give me any details about its history? There was the
remains of an information board, but some bright spark had stolen
    the vital part.

    Thanks

    Aly

| Sorry I don't know too much only that I have a couple of friends
who have had some very spooky experiences there. I actually got
married in the Church (No not the ruins I'm not that old).

Try ringing the priest of the church. Directory enquiries will
give you the number. Either that or go to the Library. There are
quite a few books/pamphletts about Basingstoke. There is also the
    Museum in town.

    Good Luck.

    Claire
