| | Al, part number " LA75XSF" has an item type of 8 on the Master
Item File. A business decision was made for FMAP to omit capturing
data for item types 4, 5 and 8 for all data types (OTD,Backlog etc).

Tom, How do I go about getting ship information for these parts
that have a 4,5 and 8 type part number? This information is needed
    to forecast my options.

Also when I'm in OD12 and try to ask for another part number
it will not allow me to. I have to GOLD Q and start over is there
    anyway around this?

We have never carried 4,5 and 8 type part numbers on our database
    - you may need to go to one of our sources. You can check the User
Guide for the appropriate choice according to type of application.

There is a recall function that you can use. After your inquiry
is returned successfully and the cursor is back at the Part Number
or Aggregate field (the first field), hit the FIND key (or GOLD
, for VT100 series), enter a new part number or aggregate and hit
the Up Arrow. This should bring back the criteria from the most
    recent inquiry.

    Cynde,

You say that copis never carried 4,5 or 8 type part numbers. Unless
they are coded wrong copis gave me ship info on 4,5 and 8 type part
numbers. The following is a list of 4, 5 or 8 type part numbers
that I got info from copis but can't get from FMAP.

    LA75X-SF,LQP4X-S3,LA10X-AA,AB,AC,AD,AE,AF,AP,AR,EL,EP,
    LA12X-AC,BL,LT,UL

    Al,

I am sorry if I wasn't clearer - the DEC10 does carry those part
numbers with type of 4,5 or 8 but FMAP does not.

    Cynde,

How do I go about getting these parts on FMAP. I thought that the
new system is suppose to give us the same information as the old with less
    ease.

     Al,
Those parts were not included in the specifications for the system
and they were not on the DEC10.

If these parts were not included on the Dec 10 system how did

My apologies - I defer to your examples of earlier replies and indeed there
were a few on the DEC10. But a business decision was made not to carry them
   on FMAP.
