120.0. "Data needed please" by KERNEL::MCCULLAGHA () Fri Mar 11 1994 11:00
Hi
	Is there anybody here, who has, or knows where I can find, some network
performance data for the RTVAX300?
Can the RTVAX300 give a sustained rate of 5Mbits/sec, on the ethernet under
VAXELN.
The customer, would prefer to use TCP/IP, rather than DECNET, in his
application.
Are there any benchmark type figures available, that I can send to the
customer?
Thanks a lot
Alec
P.S. Using the STI SELECT routine, limits a program to having, no mor than 64
files/sockets open at on time. Is there a way around this limitation?
I have crossposted this in the RTVAX300 and VAXELN conferences
