    I am trying to locate a group within Digital that produces models of
    future products.  These are items that I last saw at DECworld and
    included prototypes of what a display panel, disk drive and computer
    might look like in the future.  These were not models of products in
    development or actual prototypes, but provided an idea of what might
    they might be in ten or fifteen years.
    
    I need to find out if these items still exist and who owns them.  We
    are staging a show in a couple of weeks and this would be perfect for
    our booth.  Anyone have any pointers for people or groups to contact?

    CLT::PRESENCE (members only) discusses alot of the new tech devices - 
    HMDs - head mounted displays, heads up displays, data gloves, 
    "Torque Feedback Computer Interface Device and System", etc are
    discussed in this conference.
    
    For the mostpart I get the sense that Digital has gotten out of 
    alot of this as most of the talent Digital had employeed has 
    since left for other companies.

    I think there was a product prototype called Dove(?) that
    won some design award last year, so you could do
    a search for Dove in here, plus in ?  I think it was a laptop or PDA...

    Thanks for your fast replies.  I am in touch with the group that has
    the Dove PDA.  The other models, which were part of the Innovation
    Showcase at DECworld, are gone.

    Hi,
    
    	I would recommend contacting Rich (SKETCH::) Johnson in MRO2.
    I believe that group creates many forward-looking models.
