    Does anyone "here" know what the current state is of Digital's
    participation in ITU (formerly CCITT) ?  I'm trying to stay abreast of
    some changes to standards, and there is a WWW subscription access to
    ITU, but the rate varies for varying levels of participation in ITU.
    
    (the ITU web page is at http://www.itu.ch/ )
    
    Or - does anyone already have access to ITU standards in progress ? Our
    organization has a CD from 1994, but nothing more current.

    As a former standards wonk from those days when we could afford to
    contribute to the standards community instead of just being parasites
    on it, ( ;-) ), I can tell you that the conversation in
    standards-related forums within the company has gotten pretty sparse in
    the last couple of years. You might check with Robert Bismuth to see if
    there are any Digital survivors in the ITU arena.

    Ricahrd Hovey manages DEC's Standards Management Program in the
    Corp Stds Group, and has listed himself as a contact for info on ITU
    in the database we have on-line regarding the organizations that DEC
