          I've noticed that in the past, hard to answer questions get
       results in here. Worth a shot anyway...
    
          Over the past couple of days I've received phone calls from
      outsiders looking for a Dave Rossi. Apparently Digital has some
      type of ad or article in trade journals pushing some type of
      national billing system for direct TV. Dave Rossi's name is
      listed as the contact for additional information.
    
          As near as I can tell, Dave has not been with us for at least
      a year. I suspect he's been gone more than two if old phone books
      are any indicator. My number is also listed in the ad so I expect
      more calls. I checked around my business (PC's) and I don't think
      it has anything to do with us.
    
          If these are potential customers, then reaching the right number
      but wrong and uniformed person is a lousy first impression no matter
      how professionally I answered the phone.

    DIRECTV, Inc. is a unit of GM Hughes Electronics. This is the
    mini-success story in the new OMS Brochure (P/N: EA-B4572-96):

    Handling billing for the DIRECTV satellite TV service
    -----------------------------------------------------
    Moving into the Direct Broadcast Satellite TV market, GM Hughes
    Electronics needed the ability to bill individual subscribers of its
    DIRECTV satellite entertainment services - providing movies, special
    events, and sports in realtime interactive mode. Hughes' aim was to
    achieve a high level of customer satisfaction through the managed use
    of data.

    DIRECTV chose Digital to design and develop billing system application
    software and operate and manage its subscriber management system and
    IT. This allowed DIRECTV to focus on growing its new business, while
    Digital provided the needed IT.

  We are the prime contractor of the billing and customer-care
  system for Hughes (Space Systems?) DirecTV satellite-to-consumer
  TV system.  The system is installed somewhere in CXO.  Frank
  DuPree, the fellow I've listed below, was one of the implementors.
