     Hello!
    
     I would appreciate if someone could provide me with pointer/doc
     on a document indexing tool called "WAIS".  Do we have it ported
     on DEC machines? If not, is it a free-ware I can grab a copy?  
     Customer wants their ALL-IN-1 mail documents available through
     this tool and I need to propose a consulting service.

        Internet stuff. Have a look at SOFBAS::INTERNET_TOOLS (dir /tit=WAIS).

    This sounds like WAIS = Wide Area Interconnect Service ...
    
    If so, there is a proposal already created.  Its in the Proposal
    Development System, under Networking.
