| Try VTX Learning if you havn't already done so. I think it's option
7 ?? Don't waste your time walking through the "planning" crap. I do
remember seeing one in there awhile back, but they fill up so fast--you
may be into mid-next year before you get into a DEC-sponsored one.

| Digital Learning Services offers a UNIX (DEC OSF/1) Utilities and
Commands course (EY-K019E-L0). VTX LEARNING will have the course
description. These courses are scheduled in most of the major training
centers. You can call 1-800-332-5656 to register or your can register
thur the VTX LEARNING system. There is also a self-paced version of the
course available under part number EY-K721E-PR.

| The Technical Competency & Development Group (TCDG) has a 3-day
UNIX Fundamentals course that's basically a "cut-down" accelerated
version of the K019 course...primarily we cut out the shell programming
module and don't spend time on the vi editor. FYI: dcl and edt are
now bundled with DEC OSF/1 to make life easier for VMS folks.
I also recommend even using K019 as "self-paced" ...it's well designed
with exercises and quiz questions to test knowledge. Good for future
reference too.
TCDG courses can be seen via node MILRAT...Username: COURSES...
Password: TRAINING. This node has all the engineering training
offered, for the most part, at PKO, TAY/LKG, and ZKO. Courses can
be delivered at other sites for intact teams if needed.
The UNIX Fundamentals course is next scheduled at PKO for Dec 7-9
...course # OSCUF-02.

Thanks for the info. Checked out nearly all the leads
but found were available before the end of October. The
person who needed the course had to go external to get
the course as none were available or open in-house in
the next 3-4 weeks

| Check out the self-paced course mentioned in .2. FWIW, many courses
have a self-paced version. In fact, lecture-lab is more of an
exception than a rule these days.
