    I would like to share a compilation of some notes/handouts from two
    seminars I went to recently.  I tried to post this to the topic about
    the "light at the end of the tunnel", but found it was writelocked..... 
    
    The seminars were:
    
    "Living with Transition"
    and
    "Looking at your Career in a Changing Environment" 
    
    - all available online for distribution!


The notes from these two seminars are availble for sharing company-wide

they include information about:
what happens if you get the TFSO package now
what happens if you don't get the TFSO package now
actions you can take that make a difference
resources available inside and outside the company
ways of handling the stress

	I have read the "career resources" section of this memo and it's quite valu- able, both for people who are being TFSO'd this week and those who aren't. There is one minor error I would like to correct. The BROKE::CAREERS notes- file is not just for software engineers; it covers careers in general.

	The document pointed to in.0 mentioned "Internet-Usenet groups such as rec.jobs.offered,rec.jobs.resumes,ne.jobs". How does one access these? FWIW, I am aware of Internet, but so far have only used it for Mail. Marie

	Re .2: See note 193.2 in the BROKE::CAREER conference for detailed instructions on accessing newsgroups on a VMS system. Typo correction: Step 7's command in that note should be "$ @link-vnews" instead of "$ @link-views". Press Select or KP7 to add CAREER to your notebook.
