    I fail to see the connection.  Is there some evidence that Cutler
    holds any enduring loyalty towards Digital?  Even if he does, he
    works for two most hardball, bottom-line managers in the industry.
    If they do anything that benefits Digital, it's only incidental to
    their goals of making Microsoft the dominant force in computers.

    I was being ironic.  In spite of Cutler's shares I don't think the fact
    NT resembles VMS or any other DECnocentric view of NT makes any
    difference.  It has, however, given the UNIX-haters another reason
    to continue neglecting an operating system that, more than Windows,
    has eaten into our VMS installed base.
