    I'm curious.

Once you've conducted this survey and gathered this information how
will the information impact any decisions that will be made or not
    made.

I'd check with BP personally on this one....I think many managers are now
becoming educated on how to change their attitudes.....among other things!
It's called redesign of the supply chain!
Set mode/ attitude= cooperative/state=in process
As a member of SCO I would be willing to cooperate, with mgmt. advice and
consent. My most recent contribution made on this topic was a CIM seminar
in Osaka and Tokyo Japan. I discussed the impact of continuous improvement
philosophy when used in the architecture and design of cell controller
software and factory automation (in the semiconductor idustry).

I think you might be comparing some very dissimilar environments.
Change management would likely be handled differently from the shopfloor to
the marketing organization. Also a difference in the perception of what is
causing the change to take place can effect the control required to minimize
negative consequences of a change.

| | Hi Dave,
I'm conducting this survey as part of a thesis for a master's program. I
hope the information will point to trends in attitudes toward change. I hope
that SCO will want to futher the study into analyzing business cycles and
strategic planning. By looking at bc and sp, Hopefuly SCO will begin to better
forecast their human resource needs required to meet and maintain world class
competitiveness. The hope is to strategically as well as realisticlly design
longevity into profitability and employment for both the company and the
workforce.
