    Today is my final day at Digital.  The "package" has come to EIS in
    Southern California.  Before my account is cut off, I just wanted to
    say "bye" to my many Digital "friends".  I've been a read-only member
    of this and many other conferences for nearly nine years.  I shall miss
    all of you.
    
    Digital is a great company, and it has been very, very good to me. 
    I am truly sad to be forced to leave.  But, on the other hand, with
    economic conditions as they are, I cannot say layoffs are unfair. I've
    known about it for a few weeks, so I've pretty much come to terms with
    the situation.  I've been a part of "digital" through this notes file;
    I've had assistance raising my children through Parenting.  Medical,
    womannotes, the list goes on - maybe that's the part I'll miss the
    most.
    
    For those of you who make it through the layoffs, keep working hard. 
    Even though Digital has changed over the years, it's still "family",
    and as such, it deserves the support from each and every one of you.
    Complaining is OK, but I hope you'll all channel your complaints into
    something positive.

    I realize that these works were written over a week ago and yet I
    feel compelled to say Good Bye knowing that you will never see my
    little message.  You sound like a great person, Nanci.  The type
    of person that helped to make this company what it has become over
    the years.
    
    The very best of luck to you wherever you may go.
