| | The entries in the mentioned notes conference were aimed at SWAS excellence.
Does the excellence award only apply to SWAS and FS?
Could someone just post a simple answer without pointing to another
notes conference? Thanks.

I like .4. I remember when BM's got STOCK for performance,
then it was branches, then units, now it's districts (in our area),
next it'll be areas, then...well, I guess we'll ALL be good. We
got SOLID 10's in ALL catagories and, maybe the 1st unit(??) and
well....nothing (even tho there's a McDonalds just 500 metres away!

| | Victor,

I suspect what you really want to know is if there is any typ of
award (or reward) if you are "just" in marketing??? The answer is
    "No".

    Regards,

Nice to hear from an old friend. No it is not about the awards, nor for
marketing. If applicable, it is a great way to motivate people. I'm looking
more if it is applicable to storage systems, as I only saw indications about
Field Service and SWAS.

an Excellence program for Database Systems. You might contact
    his secretary for information.

    WRONG!!

The Marketing Excellence Awards exists (at least in the US).
Unfortunately I don't have with me the pamphlet that describes them,
but of what I remember there are three categories, and the top
category includes stock options as recognition.

Do feel bad about not knowing about them, since I have been in
marketing for five years and I only learned about them this year when
    I changed jobs.

| | In the world of manufacturing here in Westminster, we in the OBU/CSMD
have what we believe is the ultimate in award programs. I am on a
committee that is known as R & R which stands for Reward and
RECOGNITION. This committee is made up of 11 individuals representing
various groups in the OBU. Membership in this committee is open
to ANYONE that is willing to represent their group. It is requested
that you agree to serve for 12 - 18 months. Scattered around the
are are located nomination forms and locked boxes. ANYONE and be
nominated except members of the R & R committee. When we receive
the ballots, one of us will interview whoever we feel we must in
order to validate the accomplishments listed on the nomination
papers. We will then vote using agreed upon guidelines. The
primary reward is in the form of cash but that is left to our
discretion. The beauty in this format is that when we have made
our decision the form is submitted to cost center management only
as an F.Y.I. We have been given complete comtrol over the process
and we take our responsibilities very seriously. If I can be of
any help to you please feel free to contact me.
