Announcing the organizational meeting of the Notes Special Interest Group.
The meeting will be held at 4:00 Friday the 30th of May at ZKO.

The meeting will be in the Pascal conference room in ZK2-3.  Take first left
after passing the ZK2-3 lobby.  Pascal is right around the corner.

At this meeting officers will be elected. Nominations, including self 
nominations, will be accepted. Any and all interested Digital employees
are invited to attend.

I would also like to announce the Notes SIG conference. This conference will 
become the center for discussing the operation of the Notes Special Interest
group.

At the moment, this conference is not really for "discussing" topics,
as only moderators can write to it.  The moderators at this time
are the ad hoc committee working to form the SIG.  Officers of the
SIG, when elected, are expected to be added as moderators.
    
For the time being, comments should be sent to the HUMAN::MODERATOR
account.

	Is remote representation required. Has someone committed to put the case of Remote Sites. ( Such as in decisions to Modify access hours... ). I presume this is a IDECUS SIG. Will it expand to a DECUS SIG? q

	There will be site representatives, number TBD. The intent is to make this an IDECUS SIG. I don't see this SIG becoming part of any future SIG in at least the U.S. chapter of DECUS. While an employee SIG and a customer SIG will have many common interests, the internal SIG will have some purely internal matters to deal with (such as Digital policies). --Simon

	RE .0 What about us poor Europeans and others? I feel sure you mean that this is a U.S. notes SIG :-). I can just see managers in Australia signing the travel requests for the meetings. The notes conference is a great idea though. If it is impossible to get WORLDWIDE representation at the meetings, why not just stick to the notes conference. (Cost Saving Idea> :-) ) MFG

	I suspect that once the SIG is formed, that the meetings should be held via conference (an intentional pun:-). I would suggest that a quorum of officers by local to the "Greater Maynard Area" in case there is a need to meet on some emergency basis.
