		Invitation to AI-STARS Technical Review
	 	---------------------------------------


	The AI-STARS project team would like to invite you to a 
	technical review of the project's second baselevel. 

	This review will include:

	   * a presentation on issues, architecture, and status

	   * a live demonstration of AI-STARS baselevel 2.0

	BACKGROUND
        ---------
        The AI-STARS project is exploring the application of AI,
	computational linguistics, and human interface techniques
	to the problem of full-text information retrieval.  
	Baselevel 2.0 introduces a number of extensions and 
	enhancements to the STARS text retrieval system, currently
	in world-wide use by the Customer Service organization
	for the retrieval of on-line technical information.
        AI-STARS is an on-going advanced development project in
	AIAG (the AI Applications Group of ASDS), in conjunction
	with the U.S. CSC Technology Research Group.
