    Hi,
    	got involved with an installation of an upgrade ,and a few
    	questions arise...
    
    Existing AS1000 ,Rackmount ,128MB memory,on board VGA,running
    Digital UNIX 4.0 booted from Internal RZ28
    
    Internal 2 X RZ28-E (slow 8-bit)
    	     1 X RRD43  CDROM
    	     1 X TLZ07 or 9 DAT.
    
    EISA     1 X Single Channel SWXCR  -   External BA35X  - RZ28D's RAID5
    	     1 X 3 Channel SWXCR       -   External BA35X  - RZ28D's RAID5
    
    PCI	     1  10BAse Card
    
    Upgrade:- to AS1000A-5/400
    
    Box swop,and transfer memory,DAT,CD,Internal drives,EISA and PCI
    cards.Boot same operating system from same disks (ie minimum
    disruption)
    
    Q1.		As the internal SCSI has changed from 8-bit to SCSI-2 
           fast/wide,can the RZ28's be used? Is the preferred option to
    	   use the SCSI-2 internal cable and use wide-narrow SCSI adapters
    	   for each RZ28 (PBXKP-BA),or to use a "slow" SCSI cable,like the
    	   one that came out of the 1000.
    
    Q2.	   Will the drives be seen as the same identity to the new box ?
    
    Q3.    Will the Mylex's (SWXCR) move across with little or no
           configuration,or will they have to be reconfigured ?
    
    Q4.	   As there is no onboard VGA,is the PBXGA-JB (PCI S3 TRIO) card
           the one to order ?
