    Hello:
    
    Is the ZLXP graphics card limited to be used only in the first PCI bus
    of an Alphaserver 1000A 5/400?
    
    Where is this documented?
    
    The customer has tried to install the ZLXP in slot 3 of second PCI bus
    and when starting up Decwindows 1.2-4 in OpenVms 7.1 the system became
    hung with clock icon on the Screen. After move the ZLXP to the first
    PCI bus all works fine.
    
    The customer wants to know if it's normal behavior or if a restriction
    exists.

	No sure which ZLXP graphics card your customer has. There are no restriction for either ZLXp-E1 or ZLXp-E2 in AS1000A 5/400 systems. Whereas, the ZLXp-L1 and ZLXp-L2 work in primary PCI slots only (PCI-11, PCI-12 and PCI-13) and require Open3D for VMS. Paul
