    FUNCTION: Is used for (IN)teractive (S)imulations of (E)lectrically
	(I)nterconnected (N)etworks.
    ENVIRONMENT: VMS on a VaxStation II/GPX.
    REASON USED: Allows you to quickly and easily, construct and simulate,
	module level networks. At the same time, you can interactively display
	the calculated waveforms and delays graphically.
    GENERAL DESCRIPTION: INSEIN allows you to construct case studies of
	particular network configurations for your design you wish to study.
	It is a graphical front end interface to the SEIN simulator which is
	a very good signal behavior simulator. After drawing your situation,
	you do a quick simulation and display the results at different points
	in the circuit and compare them against each other. Grapical pointers
	will allow you to determine values anywhere in the voltage-time graph.
    TECHNOLOGY: Sophisticated delay analysis routines handle both ECL and TTL
	technologies (100K standard logic, 100K Gate-Array logic, 10K, 10H,
	MCA-I, and 74F-TTL models already exist and are included in the base
	release). The latest version contains the new (slower) rise/fall times
	for the NEC gate array drivers. 
    INPUT FILES: There are two input files required:
	(1) System Installed SEIN Libraries - This is used by the program in the
		background. 
	(2) Previous Network Data - These are user files containing previously
		constructed network situations.
    OUTPUT FILES: The user may create files containing the circuit definitions
	they have entered. The default filename is INSEIN$SAVE:INSEIN.DAT. 
    SPECIAL FEATURES: Some special features include:
	(1) Designed as a disjoint process allowing the CPU intensive simulator
		to run on your favorite VAX compute engine (VAX 8800 of course)
		while feeding the results directly to your workstation. 
	(2) The PRINT command in the Save/Quit menu will generate a LASERWRITER
		plot of the current waveforms, network and device
		characteristics.
