Since upgrading to V6.1 of VMS, DECnet/OSI V6.2-ECO4 one of my customer has
experienced memory leakage problem with bridge alarm rules. 

He has around 100 bridge alarm alarm rules. Before the upgrade, the process
uses around 20000 pages of physical memory. Since the upgrade, the process 
memory usage keeps climbing and eventually reach WSEXTENT (128000 pages).
This can happen in a space of a few hours to a day.

	Following our discussion concerning the Customer problem,
	I found the followings in the VMS Conference notes
	Topic #1611.*.

	This person get quite the same problem as yours, after upgrading
	her system from 5.5-2 to 6.1 she gets,   process quota exceeded 
	and insufficient virtual memory.
	She was using 'Spawn' to execute commande procedures.

	As far as I understand (IPMT discussion) you are also using
	'Spawn' commands !

	The answer to this problem is the followings:

	1611.1 -> There's a problem in V6.1 where spawn can lose quota, a
		 stars article should give more info. I don't know if
		 there's already a patch avaliable.

	1611.2 ->  The STARS article is called
    		 "Remaining Page File Quota (PAGFILCNT) Incorrect with SPAWN"
	
	1611.3 -> Fixed in OpenVMS VAX version V6.2.
 		  CSCPAT_1185 for V6.[01] VAX; no fix for V6.1 Alpha 
		 (that I could see).

	I suggest you to have a look at STARS database, and applying a patch 
	if one exist.

	and Of course let us know the result, which I hope will be ok.


PS: Note that DECmcc is for now not supported on OpenVMS 6.2.
