6239.0. "Registering lines" by CGOOA::KUHNEN () Thu Feb 23 1995 23:09
    I have a customer who has recenly replaced their DPV11 modules with
    DMV11 modules in some PDP 11 systems they are running. DECmcc still
    however shows the DPV11 lines and circuits when I double click on the
    icon.

    I then tried registering the lines again and in some cases this worked
    , in other cases it comes back with an error messages about an unknown
    entity, the entity being the line I have just tried to register. All
    of the PDP11's were upgraded at the same time and all are running the
    same version of DECnet. Is this inconsistent behavior a known problem
    or is there a work around.

    I have also found that the PDP11's will not return statistic
    information on the lines. They always come back with error messages
    regarding two counters were requested but they were not returned or
    that a counter creation time counter has not been returned. What could
    be the cause of these problems

    Thanks

| | Did you try to access the PDP's using
   NCP> tell PDPnnn show line xyz ....
In our test lab we really don;t have any PDP's any more.
