5951.0. "DECNIS delay of stats reported to MCC" by GIDDAY::MORETTI (Not drowning...waving) Tue Apr 19 1994 02:07

Have a problem with 2 DECNIS600 running sw 2.3 in an MCC V1.3
environment on a 4000-90 running VMS 5.5-2 whereby they take 10 hours
to start sending statistical information to the MCC node.

The following script is used to setup the alarms for the DECNIS':

delete mcc 0 alarms rule HBT_W622_4_0_OUT_STATS , in domain
    HBT_LTON_LINK
    !
    create domain HBT_LTON_LINK rule HBT_W622_4_0_OUT_STATS -
expression= (Node Hbtnis HDLC Link W622-4-0 Outbound Utilization > 35
    -
            ,for start = -0:00 duration = 00:02:00, AT EVERY 00:05:00) ,-
Category = "Link to Lton High Utilization" ,-
     Alarm fired procedure = hec_net:MCC_ALARMS_MAIL_ALARM.COM ,-
     Alarm exception procedure= hec_net:MCC_ALARMS_MAIL_EXCEPTION.com ,-
     batch queue= "Alarm$batch",-
     alarm fired parameter = "NODE_MAIL",-
     auto enable = yes ,-
     severity = major
    !

but my main question is ahs anybody else seen this delay in sending the
information back to the MCC node ?

After it starts to send the information back it operates normally and
this was happening on the previous release of DECNIS sw V2.218.

The alarms have been set for line utilisation and a report shouldbe
sent every 5 mins but at the moment we have a 10 delay which the
customer says can be reproduced at will.
