Can anyone shed any light on the following :-
I am working with a customer using DECmcc Bms and NAT Ethermeters. When
I look under Rmon/matrix I see the following child entities :-
MatrixControltable...
MatrixSDtable...
MatrixDStable...
Trying to "double click" on MatrixControltable... returns a message to the
effect that there are no Child entities available.
According to the NAT documentation there should be a number of attributes
in the MatrixControltable, one of which is MatrixControlStatus which NAT use
to enable the collection of "matrix type" stats.
Using the Dictionary Browser I navigated down the Rmon tree, and sure enough
it stops at MatrixControltable.
Why is there nothing below MatrixControltable ? Surely by definition a table
should contain some entries ?
Since the Rmon MIB files are no longer supplied with the standard kit I can't
even investigate the files further myself.
Any pointers to the MIB files, or any clues to what is going on with our
pre-loaded files ?
regards, Richard.

The mib is a standard rfc and thus is avialable from trix::. I cant
remeber the number of the rfc. I got a copy of the rmon mib from
nac::management:, it was put there for the packetprobe.
I have looked at the mib and the matrix table entries are for
statistics of conversations and it seems it will only contain things if
data collection for those details has been started. The
matriccontrolstatus will only exist for an entry in the table
which you should be able to create using a set command.
Using a specific rmon user interface is much easier than trying to use
MCC to manage rmon.
Rgds,
Dave.
