5459.0. "software logic error" by CGOOA::KUHNEN () Tue Aug 10 1993 15:44
I upgraded to v.13 about a month ago. After the upgrade I had problems
with data which had been recorded by background processes, and to get
the recording to work without error I had to delete my old files and let
the background create new files. Recording now seems to work without
problem. Whenever I check the recorded data all now seems well.

However when I look at the data using a command such as :

SHOW SNMP RED_WATER_WELLFLEET INTERFACE 1 TOTAL UTILIZATION, -
    FOR START = 1-JUL-1993:00:00 EVERY 01:00:00 UNTIL 15-JUL-1993:00:00 ,-
    IN DOMAIN RECORD

I will occassionally get a "software logic error detected" and the
command will fail. If I retry the command it may work on the second try
or fail again. It is inconsistent. The data require all seems to be
available. Is this a know bug?

The other problem I have is that I now on many occassions get
attribute not available returned by the above command line. I guess
that this means that it is unable to find the line speed or some other
required information required by the FM to perform the calculation. I
am recording all partitions using the default parameters in regards to
frequency of polling. Should I be polling more often ? Since most of
these parameters would be unlikely to change should the PA not be able
to use a previous entry if the entry for the requested time frame is
    unavailable.

    Thanks Harry
