When polling a MicroVAX-II based area router for area reachability
status for 5 different areas, we get an alarm exception with
"node terminated link before link confirmation".

We have five rules setup to do this, one for each area polling every
5 mins. The node has no other links active. Has anyone run into
this problem before and if so, how did you correct the exception?
    Thanks...

This is a little late in coming, but this indicates a general overload
of the system that you are trying to poll. You may get around the
problem for a while by increasing the executor incoming and outgoing
timers. The defaults are like 45 and 60. Try making them 120 each and
see if this helps. Ultimately, the uVAX II probably does not have
enough juice left and you will eventually need to either get a new box
    or lighten the load.
