Help,
I am looking for some general information for an RFI.
Has anyone used POLYCENTER Network Manager to manage TIMEPLEX Link/1
or Link/2 multiplexers ?
I presume they can be managed using SNMP is there a TIMEPLEX MIB
available ?
Is there a TIMEPLEX management platform that POLYCENTER Network
Manager can be linked into ?
Thanks
John

John,
First just in case you need this info: Timeplex is located in Woodcliff
Lakes, N.J. (201) 391-1111, Local office in MA(508)683-3280,
and Clear Water Florida: (800)237-6670.
Timplex does support SNMP management capability to their routers and
bridges. They do support a private protocol to manage the LINK1, /2
MUX's. If you have only LINK/1 type you can use their PC management
LNMS, if you have both LINK/1, /2, you need the Timeview 2000 that
runs on the sparc system,(II). in 94, they will be shipping an
SNMP that manages both LINK1, and 2 MUX's. Their Application currently
run only on the sparc system, they are currently porting to H.P.
Openview. So the answer at this point the POLYCENTER NETWORK MANAGER
CAN't Manage the LINK/1, /2 MUX's. for more info please refer to the
phone # listed above.
